These Terms of Service ('Terms') constitute a legally binding agreement between you ('User', 'you', or 'your') and CVDraft.io ('CVDraft', 'we', 'our', or 'us') governing your access to and use of the CVDraft.io website, applications, and services (collectively, the 'Services').
By accessing or using the Services, creating an account, or completing a purchase, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Services.
These Terms apply globally to all users regardless of jurisdiction. Additional rights may apply to consumers in specific jurisdictions as noted throughout these Terms.
For the purposes of these Terms, the following definitions apply:
You must be at least sixteen (16) years old to use the Services. Users between 13 and 15 may only use the Services with verified parental or guardian consent.
By creating an account or using the Services, you represent and warrant that you satisfy the applicable age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
If we discover that a user is under the applicable minimum age without proper consent, we will terminate the account and delete associated data without prior notice.
Your use of the Services is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Services, you consent to the collection, use, processing, storage, and international transfer of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

You must notify us immediately at support@cvdraft.io of any actual or suspected unauthorised use of your account or credentials.
We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, CVDraft.io grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Services for your own personal, non-commercial job-seeking purposes.
This licence does not include the right to: resell or sublicence the Services or any AI-generated content; operate a competing service using our outputs; commercially exploit generated content at scale; reproduce, distribute, or publicly display platform materials without prior written consent.
All rights not expressly granted are reserved by CVDraft.io.
Credits are consumed when you use AI-powered features (resume generation, resume analysis, resume optimisation, and cover letter generation). Each AI generation consumes five (5) Credits. Downloads of generated documents are free and do not consume additional Credits. The number of Credits required for each action is displayed on the platform at the time of use.
Credits do not expire and remain valid for the duration of your account. However, if your account is terminated or deleted, all unused Credits are forfeited without refund, except where termination is initiated by CVDraft without cause attributable to you, in which case a pro-rata refund of unused Credits will be provided as described in Section 22.
Credits are non-transferable between accounts and cannot be sold, exchanged, or bartered. Credits have no monetary value and are not a currency, security, or financial instrument.
Welcome Credits: We may grant complimentary Credits to new users as a promotional benefit. Welcome Credits are subject to the same usage terms as purchased Credits but may be revoked or expired at our discretion if we detect abuse, fraud, or violation of these Terms.
Downloads: Once a document has been generated using Credits, you may download it as many times as you wish at no additional Credit cost. Downloads do not consume Credits.
You retain all ownership rights in the resumes, documents, job descriptions, and content you submit to the Services ('User Content').
By submitting User Content, you grant CVDraft.io a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, reproduce, and display such content solely for the purpose of providing, operating, and improving the Services. This licence terminates when you delete your content or account, subject to our data retention obligations.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you waive any moral rights in your User Content for the purposes of this licence.
You represent and warrant that: (a) you own or have the necessary rights to submit all User Content; (b) your User Content does not violate any third-party intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or applicable laws; and (c) your User Content does not contain malicious code, viruses, or harmful material.
CVDraft makes no representation that AI-generated content (including resume text, cover letters, bullet points, and profiles) is protected by copyright. Intellectual property protection for AI-generated works varies by jurisdiction and is unsettled in many legal systems.
To the extent CVDraft holds any intellectual property rights in content generated specifically for you, CVDraft assigns those rights to you upon generation, subject to your compliance with these Terms.
You acknowledge that AI-generated content may not be subject to copyright protection in all jurisdictions, and you use such content in job applications and other contexts at your own risk.
You may not use the Services to:
Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account suspension or termination, forfeiture of Credits, and, where applicable, civil or criminal legal action.
Artificial intelligence outputs are generated algorithmically and may contain inaccuracies, omissions, factual errors, hallucinations, outdated information, or content that does not accurately reflect your employment history or qualifications.
AI-generated content may unintentionally resemble third-party content due to the nature of language model training. CVDraft expressly disclaims any warranty as to the accuracy, originality, uniqueness, or non-infringement of AI-generated content.
Users are solely and exclusively responsible for: (a) reviewing, verifying, editing, and approving all generated content before submitting it to any employer or third party; (b) ensuring all outputs are factually accurate and do not misrepresent your qualifications; (c) ensuring outputs do not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights; and (d) ensuring outputs comply with applicable laws in the jurisdictions where they are used.
Do not rely on AI-generated content as a substitute for professional career, legal, employment, or any other professional advice. CVDraft shall not be liable for any consequences arising from your use of AI-generated content.
ATS scores, compatibility assessments, optimisation scores, rankings, recommendations, and analyses are estimates generated through our proprietary methodologies.
Such scores do not represent evaluations used by actual employers, recruiters, or any particular applicant tracking system. No two ATS systems use identical algorithms, and actual parsing results will vary by employer and platform.
Results are provided for informational and self-improvement purposes only and may not reflect how any actual ATS system, recruiter, or employer evaluates your resume. CVDraft makes no warranty regarding the accuracy of ATS assessments or their correlation with actual hiring outcomes.
CVDraft.io does not guarantee, represent, or warrant:
Hiring outcomes depend on numerous factors entirely outside our control, including but not limited to labour market conditions, employer preferences, economic conditions, interview performance, and individual qualifications.
The Services provide informational and AI-generated content only. Nothing on the platform constitutes legal advice, employment advice, recruiting advice, career counselling, financial advice, immigration advice, or any other form of regulated professional advice.
Always consult a qualified and licensed professional for advice specific to your circumstances. CVDraft accepts no liability for decisions made in reliance on content generated or provided through the Services.
Fees are charged in Indian Rupees (INR) for Indian transactions and in US Dollars (USD) or other applicable currencies for international transactions, as displayed on the Pricing page at the time of purchase. The currency and pricing zone are determined based on your geographic location.
For Indian transactions, prices are displayed inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST) at the applicable rate (currently 18%). A GST invoice is available upon request. For international transactions, prices may be displayed inclusive or exclusive of applicable taxes depending on your jurisdiction; you are responsible for any additional taxes, duties, or levies imposed by your jurisdiction.
We reserve the right to change pricing at any time with reasonable notice. Price changes will not affect purchases already completed and confirmed.
Payments for Indian transactions are processed by Razorpay. Payments for international transactions may be processed by Dodo or other third-party payment processors. All payment processors are independently PCI-DSS compliant. CVDraft.io does not store full payment card details, CVV codes, or UPI credentials. Transaction records are retained for accounting, tax compliance, and legal purposes.
In the event of a payment dispute, you agree to contact us at support@cvdraft.io before initiating a chargeback with your financial institution. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve the dispute within 14 days. Unresolved disputes will be handled in accordance with Section 26.
Except where required by applicable law, all purchases are final and non-refundable once any part of the purchased Service has been accessed or used, including:
EEA and UK Consumers: Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a statutory right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 calendar days without giving a reason. However, by confirming your purchase and immediately accessing AI-generated content, you expressly request that we begin performance immediately and acknowledge that you forfeit your right of withdrawal upon accessing the Service. If you have not yet accessed any part of the Service, you may cancel within 14 days for a full refund by contacting support@cvdraft.io.
Australian Consumers: Nothing in this policy excludes statutory guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Where the ACL applies, you may be entitled to a remedy where the Service fails to meet a statutory guarantee.
Indian Consumers: Nothing in this policy excludes rights available to consumers under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. If you believe a charge was made in error or the Service was not delivered as described, contact support@cvdraft.io within 7 days of the transaction with your order reference and a description of the issue.

The Services integrate third-party providers including AI model infrastructure, payment processors (Razorpay, Dodo), cloud storage, authentication services (Google), and email delivery. CVDraft.io is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, security, content, or practices of any third-party services.
Use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. Failures, outages, data incidents, or service degradations caused by third-party providers are outside our control, and CVDraft shall not be liable for resulting harm except to the extent required by applicable consumer protection law.
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the entire Service at any time.
For consumers in jurisdictions where implied warranties cannot be excluded by law (including Australia, EU member states, the UK, and India), these exclusions apply only to the maximum extent permitted under applicable law.
All platform content, branding, software, technology, algorithms, designs, trademarks, trade names, service marks, logos, and related materials are the exclusive property of CVDraft.io and its licensors, protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you. You may not use CVDraft's trademarks, logos, or proprietary materials without prior written consent.
Unauthorised reproduction, distribution, modification, or commercial exploitation of CVDraft's intellectual property is strictly prohibited and may result in civil and criminal liability.
CVDraft.io's platform, including but not limited to its name, logo, brand identity, user interface design, AI prompting architecture, resume templates, content structure, workflows, and all associated intellectual property, constitutes original and proprietary work protected under applicable copyright, trademark, and unfair competition laws.
The following activities are expressly prohibited without the prior written consent of CVDraft.io:
CVDraft.io actively monitors for unauthorised copies and clones of this platform. Any person or entity found to be in violation of this section may be subject to injunctive relief, claims for damages, recovery of legal costs, and any other remedies available under applicable intellectual property and unfair competition law.
If you become aware of an unauthorised copy or clone of CVDraft.io, please report it to support@cvdraft.io. We take these reports seriously and will act promptly.
We retain your account data and associated content for the duration of your account and for up to 90 days after account deletion, after which it is permanently and irreversibly erased from our production systems. Backup copies may persist for up to 180 days before automatic destruction.
Transaction records and financial data may be retained for up to 7 years as required by applicable tax and accounting law (including the Indian Goods and Services Tax Act), even after account deletion.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting support@cvdraft.io. We will confirm receipt within 24 hours and process your request within 30 days. See our Privacy Policy, Section 14, for full details on the data deletion process.
Uploaded resume files submitted for one-time analysis are processed and not retained on our servers beyond the active session unless explicitly saved to your dashboard.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if: (a) you violate these Terms; (b) we have reasonable grounds to suspect fraud, abuse, credit manipulation, or a security threat; (c) required by applicable law, court order, or regulatory authority; (d) you engage in any prohibited activity as defined in Section 10; or (e) we discontinue the Services, in which case we will provide at least 30 days' written notice.
We will not arbitrarily terminate paid accounts without cause. In cases of termination of a paid account without cause attributable to you, we will refund any confirmed unused Credits on a pro-rata basis.
Upon termination, your licence to use the Services ceases immediately, and all unused Credits are forfeited (except as provided above). Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 20, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29) will survive.
You may voluntarily terminate your account at any time by contacting support@cvdraft.io.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CVDRAFT.IO, ITS OWNERS, AFFILIATES, CONTRACTORS, SUPPLIERS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR CAREER OUTCOMES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.
CVDraft's total aggregate liability to you for any and all claims arising from or related to the Services shall not exceed the total amount actually paid by you to CVDraft.io during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
These limitations apply whether liability arises in contract, tort (including negligence), statute, or otherwise, and whether or not CVDraft has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; (c) any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protection rights in the EU, UK, Australia, and India.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CVDraft.io and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to:
CVDraft.io shall not be liable for any delay, failure, or interruption in the performance of its obligations under these Terms resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God; natural disasters; pandemic or epidemic; war, terrorism, or civil unrest; government actions, sanctions, or regulatory changes; internet or telecommunications outages; cyberattacks on our infrastructure or third-party providers; or failures of third-party service providers.
In such events, we will make reasonable efforts to resume normal service as quickly as practicable and will notify affected users where feasible.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or aspect of the Services at any time.
For material changes to paid features, we will provide reasonable advance notice. For complete Service discontinuation, we will provide at least 30 days' notice and will handle refunds for unused paid Credits on a pro-rata basis.
Informal Resolution: Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, you agree to first contact CVDraft.io at support@cvdraft.io with a written description of the dispute and your proposed resolution, and allow at least 30 days for informal resolution. Both parties agree to negotiate in good faith during this period.
Formal Proceedings: If the dispute is not resolved informally within 30 days, either party may pursue formal resolution. For consumers in the European Union: you may use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. For UK consumers: you may refer disputes to an approved Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) scheme. For Indian consumers: disputes may be referred to the appropriate Consumer Dispute Redressal Forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. All other disputes are subject to the governing law and jurisdiction in Section 28.
Class Action Waiver: To the extent permitted by applicable law, you waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against CVDraft.io. This waiver does not apply where prohibited by mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.
For users who are consumers in the European Union: Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence. You retain the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, notwithstanding the Indian jurisdiction clause.
For users who are consumers in the United Kingdom: Your statutory rights under UK consumer law (including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013) are not affected by these Terms.
For users who are consumers in Australia: Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010) are not excluded or limited by these Terms.
For users who are consumers in India: Your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 are not excluded or limited by these Terms.
For all other disputes not subject to the consumer carve-outs above, the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India shall apply.
Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and CVDraft.io with respect to the Services and supersede all prior representations, warranties, agreements, or understandings, whether written or oral.
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Waiver: Failure by CVDraft.io to enforce any right or provision of these Terms on any occasion shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision on any future occasion.
Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. CVDraft.io may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with 30 days' notice to affected users.
Notices: Formal legal notices to CVDraft.io must be sent to support@cvdraft.io with email confirmation of receipt. Notices from CVDraft.io to you will be sent to your registered email address and will be deemed received within 24 hours of sending.
Electronic Communications: You agree that these Terms and all related agreements and notices may be provided electronically. You consent to receive electronic communications from us and agree that such electronic communications satisfy any legal requirement that communications be in writing.
We may modify these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will provide at least 14 days' advance notice via email to your registered address or via an in-app notification prior to the changes taking effect.
Continued use of the Services after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Services and may request account deletion by contacting support@cvdraft.io.
